Ask for the license number, then confirm it’s current and held by the person quoting you rather than by someone else at the company. Ask for a certificate of insurance naming your address, a legitimate contractor’s insurer issues these routinely.
If an unlicensed, uninsured person is injured in your house, or their work causes a fire, your homeowner’s policy may decline the claim. The saving on the quote is not worth that exposure.
