Workmanship Warranty

What’s covered

We warrant our workmanship for one year from the date the work is completed. If something we installed or repaired fails because of how we did the work, we’ll come back and put it right at no charge for labor.

What’s covered by the manufacturer instead

Parts and equipment: breakers, panels, devices, surge protective devices, generators, EV chargers carry the manufacturer’s own warranty, which is usually longer than ours and is handled by them. We register equipment where registration is required and give you the paperwork. If a covered part fails, we’ll help you make the claim; manufacturer terms determine whether labor is included.

What isn’t covered

• Work performed by someone else, or our work subsequently modified by someone else
• Damage from lightning, flooding, storms, rodents, or physical damage to the installation
• Failures in existing wiring or equipment we did not install or work on
• Normal wear on consumable items
• Equipment that hasn’t been maintained as the manufacturer requires, this matters particularly for standby generators, which need annual service and a regular self-exercise cycle
• Problems caused by overloading a circuit after we installed it

What voids it

Unauthorized alteration of our work by anyone other than us, or non-payment of the invoice.

How to make a claim

Call (251) 550-9813 and ask for Jacob. Have your invoice date to hand. We’ll arrange a visit. There’s no form and no ticket number.

It transfers with the house

If you sell the property inside the warranty period, the remaining cover passes to the new owner. Nothing to fill in and nobody to notify they just need the original invoice date.

Worth mentioning to a buyer’s agent if you’ve had a panel or service rebuild done. A transferable warranty on recent electrical work is a point in the house’s favor.

Permits and inspection

Where a permit was required, the work has been inspected and signed off by the relevant authority. That paperwork is yours, and you should keep it with your property records.
