Who we are

Jacob Brewster Electric, LLC, trading as J.B. Electric, is a residential and commercial electrical contractor operating in Mobile County, Alabama. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and by phone, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

What we collect

Information you give us

Your name, phone number, service address or ZIP code, and a description of the problem, when you submit a request form
Anything you tell us on the phone, by text, or in email
Payment information, processed by Intuit QuickBooks we do not see or store full card numbers

Information collected automatically

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used pages viewed, approximate location, device type, and how you arrived. This uses cookies. See our cookie policy.
Advertising. We use Google Ads and Google Local Services Ads, which may set cookies to measure whether an ad led to a call or a form submission.
Call tracking. Phone numbers displayed on this site may be tracking numbers that route to our main line. Our call tracking provider records the calling number, call time and duration, and which page or advert you came from.

We do not record calls

Call recording is switched off in our scheduling software and we do not use a recording answering service. Our call tracking provider logs the calling number, the time and length of the call, and which page or advert you arrived from but not the audio. If that ever changes we will say so here and you will be told at the start of the call.

Text messages

If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about your request, your appointment, or to ask for a review after a completed job. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase. Full terms are in our SMS terms.

Why we use it

To respond to your request, schedule work and complete the job
To take payment and keep records required for tax, permitting and warranty purposes
To measure which adverts and pages actually produce work, so we’re not wasting money
To ask for a review after a job never in exchange for anything

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who need it to do their job for us: Housecall Pro for scheduling, Intuit QuickBooks for invoicing and payments, our call tracking provider, our text messaging provider, Affirm (only if you choose to apply for financing, and only what Affirm needs to assess it), and Google for analytics and advertising measurement. We may also disclose information where required by law.

How long we keep it

Job records, invoices and permit documentation are kept as long as required for tax, warranty and legal purposes. Inquiries that don’t become jobs are kept for a limited period and then deleted.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by calling or emailing us using the details below.
You can opt out of texts by replying STOP.
You can manage cookies through the consent banner on this site or through your browser settings.
You can opt out of Google’s advertising personalization through Google’s own ad settings.

Alabama does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy statute. If you live somewhere that gives you additional statutory rights, contact us and we will handle your request in line with that law.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

We’ll update this page when our practices change, and we’ll change the date at the top.
